Asset Manager- Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibility Matrix for Portfolio Strategists & Asset Managers
•Partner with TA head to drive the formulation of portfolio strategy with R&D, Commercial and Marketing
•Ensure portfolio strategy is aligned with corporate strategy and goals by liaising & aligning within joint strategy group (global strategy, commercial strategy, global marketing, PS&AM)
•Interfaces across R&D and Commercial to facilitate progression of portfolio strategy including LCM opportunities
•Generates an integrated view across the assets in the portfolio to optimize sequencing, overlaps, etc. and ensure alignment with the portfolio strategy
•Engages with R&D and Commercial team members to facilitate progression of asset strategy
•Partners with asset team leader to develop budget and resourcing plan
•Align team priorities/objectives to the requirements for Action Point progression
•Highlights the need to reassess strategy or pivot based on external market factors, evidence, etc.
•Works with PDC and strategic teams to develop key deliverables for each asset, including annual goals, PTRS, TPP, NPV, eGDCP
•Ensure development plans are aligned with commercial plans in each geography
•Liaise with regions on local needs and translate into global development priorities
•Ensure that clinical protocols are leading to reimbursable files across geographies
•Coordinate global contribution to the annual program snapshot (APS)
•Support affiliates in contributing to development plans
•Work with VP of Clinical Development for CNS/Nephrology to draft therapeutic area priorities and contribute to corporate goals
•Drive discussions on re-allocation of budget/resources across the portfolio in a timely manner
•Develop a portfolio-level perspective of critical asset performance metrics and identify areas of focus
•Work closely with asset team to ensure execution of portfolio strategy by tracking asset performance across the portfolio
•Drive teams to execute on strategic priorities for the asset
•Track progress against plans/goals and maintains single source of truth for asset-specific performance metrics
•Maintains a centralized communication hub for asset teams and ensures up to date with latest data
•Partner with portfolio strategist to develop relevant tracking and performance metrics
