Aggregate and analyze asset performance across the portfolio to identify trends and risks

Escalate issues that potentially impede asset progression and execution of portfolio strategy

Roll-up or compile KPIs & review with VP, CNS or Nephrology

Stay on the pulse of core team and sub-team progress to identify and address emerging risks or issues that could impact the program

Tailor engagement and management approach based on portfolio-specific needs, e.g., complex partnerships, upcoming data readouts, new asset team members

Ensure portfolio performance tools and metrics are consistent across functions (e.g. Commercial, Business Development) to improve comparability

Build cohesive asset teams that think globally

Facilitates PDC, GBT, RDT, FST and relevant sub-team meetings

Develops integrated work plan and manages the interdependencies across teams

Tailor engagement model based on needs of the asset and identify areas for intervention/specific focus

Contribute to preparation of portfolio prioritization review and global strategy meetings

Ensure consistency of approach across portfolio, identify risks, interdependencies associated with resourcing, budget and timelines

Ensure inputs from the asset teams are of high-quality

Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop consistent and integrated asset team and governance deliverables

Ensure governance inputs are aligned with key stakeholders and are of high-quality

Navigate teams through governance touchpoints, stage gates and support preparation of asset reviews

Ensure necessary pull-through occurs based on decisions and action plans

Help asset teams identify potential hurdles and roadblocks in development to maximize efficiency

Provide coaching for prospective portfolio strategist within PS&AM

Onboard new team members regarding asset strategy, historical decisions, team norms & expectations

More experienced asset managers provide coaching to groom junior asset managers
